At Last, The People's Choice Surfaces For The Douglas House.

 Political history was recorded on Thursday, 21th, February, 2019, when a prominent personality from the economic Golden base of Imo State in Ohaji Egbema, Ejike Chukwu pulled an unprecedented crowd of supporters to announce his gubernatorial candidacy under the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

The grand event took place at the heart of Imo State's economically buoyant city, which is proudly known as the: 'the local government that lays the Golden eggs for the  Eastern Heartland', Ohaji Egbema local government.
All the 27 local government chairmen of the Party, ADC in Imo State were present at the rally with large membership from the grassroots.

Announcing the presence of each of the chairmen from the LGAs, the Director General of Ejike campaign organization, Hon. Nick Okwodu told the crowd that the idea of presenting the local government chairmen is necessitated by the need to show Imolites that the choice of Ejike Chukwu as the candidate of ADC was the unintimidated choice of the entire membership of ADC in Imo State.

Hon. Nick expressed deep belief that what prompted the ADC party chieftains and members to key behind Ejike Chukwu as their candidate would as well attract majority of Imo electorates to also support and vote for Ejike Chukwu for the gubernatorial election come 9th of March, 2019.

Addressing the teaming crowd, who thronged to the venue to witness the rally of their  placid Guber candidate of the ADC, Ejike Chukwu, the woman leader of the party in the state, Achinike Lovet told the incoming Governor that the large crowd of women at the occasion is a clear indication of the support he would get from the votes of women in Imo State during the coming governorship election. Mrs...... Sited profound humility and gracious philanthropy as the key reasons why uncountable Imo electorates shall vote for him. She recalled numerous occasions, when Ejike Chukwu has brought smiles on the faces of the common people of Imo State through his various philanthropic gestures. She finally tasked all women present at the occasion to make themselves fishers of voters in their various communities so as to ensure total electoral victory for this man of the people, Ejike Chukwu.

The man of the moment, whose gubernatorial ambition brought 70% of Imolites to Ohaji Egbema, and the charismatic ADC governorship candidate, Ejike Chukwu delivered an extremely fascinating speech that glued the attention and attracted the admiration of all present at the rally. Ejike Chukwu consistently explained to the crowd that his gubernatorial dream is primarily motivated by the paramount need to alleviate the scorching socioeconomic problems of Imolites. He decried the glaring social devastation in the state, which has brought unbearable misery to the people of Imo State.

Ejike Chukwu, who is a respected technocrat said it was regrettable that recent past democratic governments have failed to utilize the economic benefit of the ADAPALM, an ultra industrial establishment made by the sage, Chief Onunaka Mbakwe in the second republic. Ejike Chukwu stated without equivocation that no child born in Imo State should have had any business with Poverty if Mbakwe's ADAPALM establishment has been adequately utilised. He therefore promised to revamp all overlooked and moribund establishments of the state for the sustainance of socioeconomic prosperity in the state.

To achieve this, Ejike Chukwu emphasized that the stability of electricity is vital to power aggregate economic development. The Incoming Governor reiterated his commitment to activate social engineering and economic wealth through provision of uninterrupted electricity supply for both domestic, industrial and commercial use.
He concluded that he would achieve all these by creating sustainable educational necessities to empower the youths, who according to him will occupy greater percentage of his cabinet's membership if elected to the position of governor of Imo State.
The occasion also witnessed massive endorsement of Ejike Chukwu by the conference of Imo youths from all quarters.
